Biographie
Orbital Escape System (OES) is a space stoner rock band based in Brussels, Belgium.
Niko Khap is on drums. He's known for being a member of Emptiness, Salival (Tool cover
band from Be), Vortaex, and also for his full time job as a drum coach.
Olivier Vancap adds some screaming vibes on guitar.
And, to complete the spaceship crew, Fred Genet brings some roaring loudness with his bass and a touch of hypnotic sounds with the synth.
After years of casual jamming on different projects, this long-time friends trio feels OES is the right project to hit the stage.
OES invites you to jump in their space capsule and travel through a galaxy where the melodies tell their own stories. Some hovering,
crystalline and atmospheric riffs suggest the wide and deep psychedelic space. That switches back and forth with the heavy, powerful or dark impulse of an asteroid rain, more specific to stoner, doom and post-rock.
And that's what space rock means to them : smooth, hypnotic and intense, with an instrumental strength oscillating as the space
capsule crosses picturesque environments.
Welcome to the trip...
